Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Home Care Business Insurance collects when you request a quote, what we do with it, and who else handles it along the way. It describes how this website actually works rather than covering every possibility in general terms.

At a glance

Last updated: August 25, 2026

Privacy obligations differ by state and by country. This policy sets out our general practices and is not tailored to the rules of any one jurisdiction. Review it against the requirements that apply where you operate, and contact us at homecareins@wagleyagency.com if you need something more specific for your situation.

  • We collect information you type into our quote form, plus your IP address and browser user agent.
  • We use it to prepare an insurance quote and to contact you about your request.
  • Your submission is sent to our agency's quote portal, which produces your quote and confirmation email.
  • We do not sell your information. This site does use analytics and advertising tools, described below, and those set cookies.
  • You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your information by emailing us.

Who we are

Home Care Business Insurance, referred to here as HCBI, we, or us, is a brand of Wagley Agency Insurance Group, an insurance brokerage that places coverage for home care and home health businesses. You can read more about the agency and the broker behind the guidance on this site on our about page.

Wagley Agency Insurance Group is the party responsible for the information described in this policy. To reach us about anything in it:

What we collect

Nearly all of the information we hold about you is information you chose to type into our quote form. We do not buy contact lists, and we do not build a profile of you from other sources.

Information you give us through the quote form

When you submit the form on our get a quote page, we receive:

  • Your business name
  • Your name as the contact person
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number
  • The state your agency operates in
  • Your employee count, chosen from a range rather than an exact figure
  • Your agency type, such as home health agency, private duty nursing, or adult day care center
  • The coverages you are interested in, chosen from our list of insurance solutions
  • Anything you write in the free-text notes field

The notes field is open text, so please use your judgment about what you put there. It is helpful for describing your operation and your contracts. It is not the right place for anyone's medical information, Social Security numbers, or financial account details, and we do not ask for any of those.

Information collected automatically

When you submit the form, our system also records:

  • Your IP address, used to verify the submission and to limit how many requests come from one connection in an hour
  • Your browser user agent string, which identifies your browser and operating system
  • The page address you submitted the form from
  • The date and time of the submission

Our web host also keeps standard server logs of requests to the site, which is ordinary for any website and is used for security and troubleshooting. If a submission fails to reach our quote portal, our server writes the details of that submission to an internal error log so the request is not lost and we can follow up with you.

Analytics and advertising tools

This website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how people find and use the site. It sets cookies in your browser and collects usage data such as which pages you view, how you arrived, your approximate location, and what device and browser you are on. We use it to see which pages help people and which ones do not.

We also use the Meta Pixel, which is an advertising measurement tool. It sets cookies and can share event data with Meta so that advertising we run can be matched to the visits it produced. If you have a Meta account, Meta may connect your visit here to it, which does mean activity is followed across sites in a way the tools above do not.

Google Tag Manager is set up as the container that would manage these tags. It is not switched on yet, and nothing runs through it today.

When you submit the quote form, a conversion event fires on the confirmation page. It tells Google and Meta that a submission happened. It does not send them what you typed. Your name, business name, email, phone number, state, and notes stay out of it entirely.

What we still do not do

We do not sell your information. We do not use these tools to build a profile of you for anyone else, and we do not pass the contents of your form to an advertising platform. Beyond the usage data described here and the standard server logs described above, we do not collect information about visitors who simply read pages.

How we use your information

We use what you submit for the purpose you submitted it for, which is getting you an insurance quote. Specifically:

  • To prepare a quote and proposal for the coverages you asked about, sized to your agency type, employee count, and state
  • To contact you about your request by email or phone, including asking follow-up questions a quote requires
  • To route your request into our agency's systems so a broker is assigned to it
  • To approach insurance carriers on your behalf, as described in the next section
  • To protect the form from automated abuse and to keep a record that a submission was legitimate

We do not sell your information. We do not rent or trade it, and we do not share it with unrelated companies for their own marketing.

Insurance is a regulated activity, so your information goes to carriers

This is worth stating plainly, because it is the part people are most often surprised by. A broker cannot obtain a quote without telling insurers about the risk being quoted. When you ask us for coverage, we share the relevant details of your operation with the insurance carriers and wholesale markets that write home care business, so they can evaluate the risk and return terms.

Those carriers are not acting for us when they receive your information. They are separate regulated businesses that handle it under their own privacy practices and under the insurance laws of the states where they operate. Insurers and brokers are also subject to record-keeping obligations that can require information about a quote or a policy to be retained after the fact, including after you ask us to delete it.

We share what is needed to place the coverage you asked us about, and no more.

Service providers that handle your information

Several outside services receive information from this site. Each one gets it because it does a specific job, and each handles that information under its own terms and privacy policy.

Wagley365 quote portal

Our agency's own lead and quote system, operated by Wagley Agency Insurance Group. Your completed submission is transmitted to it over an encrypted connection. It is where your request is assigned to a broker, where your quote document is produced, and where your confirmation email is sent from. This is the primary place your submission is stored.

Cloudflare Turnstile

A spam-protection check that confirms a real person is submitting the form. To verify, our server sends Cloudflare the verification token from your browser along with your IP address. It is used to keep automated submissions out, not to profile you or to advertise to you.

Our email delivery provider

If the quote portal cannot be reached at the moment you submit, our server emails your request directly to our team so the lead is not lost. That email passes through the outbound mail service our agency uses. This path is a backup and is not used for a normal submission.

Google

Google Analytics receives usage data about your visit, and a conversion signal if you submit the quote form. That signal records that a submission happened, not what was in it. Google Tag Manager is set up as the container for these tags but is not switched on yet.

Meta

The Meta Pixel sends Meta a page view event, and a lead event if you submit the quote form, recording that a submission happened. Meta uses this to attribute advertising. It is the one tool here that can connect your activity on this site to your activity elsewhere.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, such as a lawful request from a regulator or a court, or where it is needed to establish or defend a legal claim. If our business is ever sold or reorganized, client information may transfer as part of that transaction, and it would remain subject to a policy no less protective than this one.

Cookies

This site uses very few cookies, and none of them are for advertising.

  • Session cookie. When you use the quote form, our server sets a standard session cookie so the form can protect itself against cross-site request forgery and can show your entries back to you if something needs correcting. It is limited to this site, is not readable by scripts, and expires when you close your browser.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile. The spam-protection widget may set its own cookies or similar storage in order to work. That is functional to the check itself.
  • Google Analytics. Sets cookies that measure how the site is used and whether a visit is a returning one.
  • Meta Pixel. Sets cookies used to measure advertising. These are the cross-site kind, readable by Meta on other sites.

This site also sets analytics and advertising cookies through the tools described above. Google Analytics sets cookies that recognize a returning visit and measure how the site is used. The Meta Pixel sets cookies used for advertising measurement, and Meta can read those across other sites you visit.

We do not show a cookie consent banner today. Whether this site needs one depends on which privacy laws cover our visitors, and that question is with our counsel rather than settled here. If the answer is that consent is required, we will ask for it before these cookies are set and will update this policy to say so. In the meantime, the controls in the next section let you limit or block them yourself.

Your choices about analytics and advertising

You can limit or stop the tracking described above yourself, without contacting us. None of it is needed to read this site or to send us a quote request.

  • Your browser. Every major browser can block or delete cookies, either for all sites or just for this one. That stops the analytics and advertising cookies described above. The session cookie the quote form needs is a separate thing, so blocking every cookie may also stop the form from submitting.
  • Google Analytics opt-out. Google publishes a browser add-on that stops Google Analytics measuring your visits to any site, this one included. It is at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • Meta ad preferences. If you have a Meta account, the ad preferences and off-Meta activity controls in your account settings show you how activity from sites like this one is used, and let you limit it. Those settings are at facebook.com/settings?tab=ads.
  • Your device. Phones and tablets have their own advertising controls, usually under privacy or tracking settings, which apply across apps and websites.

These controls are the practical way to opt out today, because this site does not show a consent banner. Whether it should is a legal question we have put to our counsel, and this policy will be updated with the answer.

How long we keep information

Different pieces are kept for different lengths of time, according to what each is for.

  • Abuse-prevention records. Our server keeps a short-lived record of the IP addresses that submitted the form, purely to enforce the hourly submission limit. These records are automatically deleted after one hour.
  • Your quote request. Held in our agency's quote portal as a business record for as long as we are working with you, and after that for as long as we need it to answer questions about coverage we placed or quoted and to meet the record-keeping obligations that apply to insurance brokers.
  • Failure logs. If a submission could not be delivered, its details sit in an internal server log until that log is cleared as part of routine maintenance.
  • Email. Correspondence with you is kept in our business email records under our normal retention practices.

We have deliberately not published a fixed number of days for each category, because the periods that apply to an insurance brokerage depend on the state and the type of record. If you want to know how long we hold something specific to you, ask us and we will tell you.

Your choices and your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Tell you what information we hold about you and where it came from
  • Correct anything that is wrong or out of date
  • Delete your information, subject to the record-keeping limits described above
  • Stop contacting you about a quote request

To make any of these requests, email homecareins@wagleyagency.com and tell us what you would like. We may need to confirm your identity before acting, so that we do not hand someone's business information to the wrong person. We will respond within a reasonable time and will tell you if a legal or regulatory obligation prevents us from doing what you asked.

Several states and countries give residents specific privacy rights, and the details of those rights differ. We aim to honor requests of this kind regardless of where you are. If you are covered by a particular privacy law and want your request handled under it, say so in your message and we will treat it accordingly.

You are never required to fill in our form. You can always call us at (337) 345-4410 instead and give us only what you want to give us.

Security, children, and changes to this policy

How we protect information

The site is served over an encrypted connection, and submissions travel to our quote portal over an encrypted connection authenticated with a shared secret. The form is protected by spam verification, cross-site request forgery checks, and submission limits. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security, but we take the safeguarding of client information seriously.

Children

This site is for people running home care and home health businesses. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change how we handle information, we will revise this page and update the date at the top. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly. Continuing to use the site after a change means the revised policy applies. If you want to know what changed, ask us and we will tell you.

Our terms and conditions cover the rules for using this website.

Questions about your information?

Email or call and a person at the agency will answer. We are happy to explain what we hold and why.
